Hard to believe that June has come so quickly. Where is the time going? Life has been busy with work and school. I am only taking a one credit research class, but the researcher I am working with is based out of Manchester, NH---about 1-1 1/2 hours away. So, I am spending lots of time driving to Manchester, but I think it will be worth it when the project is all done with. We have also been busy training and running different races and runs around Boston. The latest was our 2nd half marathon this month. It was the Katie Lynch Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon. It was the single toughest race I have ever run. The hills, coupled with hot weather was brutal. But, as we crossed the finish line, I noticed our time. I beat my personal record by FIVE minutes! That is huge for me. If I could keep that time up for a full marathon, I would shave almost 45 minutes off my last marathon time.Besides being busy with school, Ty and I have found time in our busy schedules to have some fun---a lot of that fun has been at Fenway. We are so lucky to have some VERY good friends who found us tickets to the Phish concert at the last minute. It was a lot of fun. Another event at Fenway was a Sox/ Yankees game last night! It was my second Sox/Yankees game this season, and let me tell you---there is nothing like being at Fenway when they are playing the Sox. Fenway is a magical place to begin with, but having it packed with excited Sox fans, and a few lone Yankees fans is so much fun. Of course, the Sox prevailed and kicked the Yankees a** 7-0. Despite the misting rain, we had a great time drinking Sam Summer Ale, eating hot dogs, and cheering on J Bay, David Ortiz, Youk, and the boys!
