It's been a year already?!

Hard to believe it has been a year since we walked down the aisle in Portugal.  Oh, how I wish we could be back there, reliving that moment, that week, and all that fun!
I couldnt resist posting some photos from last year.  Totally nostalgic.
Since I have never been to NYC (and it is only 3 hrs from Boston!), we decided to spend our first anniversary there.  Ty did all the planning, as he knows his way around the city.  It was a great, great trip.  This is us all dressed up for a fabulous meal at Tom Colicchio's restaurant Craft.  It was one of the best meals I have ever had.  We had a great time!
Stopping for a picture in Time's Square!  What a trip. This place was so busy, so many lights, crazy.  It was great!
And a morning walk across the Brooklyn bridge.  A great way to see the city!
There is so much more to post, but unfortunately, school is getting the best of my time.  I am not sure how much blogging I will be doing in the coming weeks, but I hope to get one good post in each month. Hope all of you reading this (in MN, Boston, etc) are doing well and enjoying the beautiful fall weather!  Does it get any better than this?! I think not.....well maybe a fall spent in Portugal, but this is a close 2nd! :-)

September oh september

Not sure if you can tell...Ty's last day of sailing--he had to get towed in! ;-)

Ty had his last day of sailing lessons.  A big deal, they had to sail out and around an island.  They got out---NO WIND.  He had to get towed in.  I though it was funny, so of course I had to get a picture.  He passed though.  Ty is now my little sailor! :-)
Birthday Dinner
My birthday was this past weekend.  Ty had a bunch of our friends over on Friday and then we had dinner at a new place in South Boston called Sportello.  It was fabulous, as all of Barbara Lynch's places are!
Northeastern's CRNA Class of 2012
Besides sailing and birthdays, class has started!  This is my class. So very exciting.  Everyone I have met so far is so nice.  School has been ok so far---only a week into it though.  I am so glad that I got a few of the classes out of the way last semester.  It sure lightens my load this fall.  I love how we are all very smiley in this picture.  I am hoping that continues...although I have a feeling the workload is going to be increasing very shortly.  I am not sure the smiles will be all the big and bright...until May of 2012 that is! :-) Then there will be PLENTY of smiles to go around!

Thats all for this week.  We are off to the Big Apple this weekend to celebrate our ONE YEAR anniversary! I cant believe it is already been a year.  I feel like an old married woman! :-)  Loving every minute of it though!

One last weekend of freedom...

Well, here I am.  One more weekend until school begins.  Since the time I interviewed and was accepted, I have been so excited to begin this next chapter of my life.  Not once has any anxiety entered my mind....until now.  Seeing as though school starts on Tuesday, I have started to realize that my life is never going to be the same.  For the past 5 years or so, I have gotten very used to my "cushy" 3 days of work per week.  It has been pretty easy for me to pick up and go away for the weekend or a week or hell, even a month!  All that is quickly coming to an end.  No more long weekends or vacations for this girl.  Well, for 3 years anyway.  THREE YEARS!  Three years of my life committed to school.  In some ways, I am so sad, but when it comes down to it: BRING IT ON!

I am excited to be back in school, learning physiology, pharmacology, and anesthesia in general.  Northeastern's program is held in very high prestige, which means two things for me.  One, I will graduate with a great education and most likely be a very successful CRNA.  Two, it is going to be very intense.  All in all, I am up for the challenge. I apologize up front to all of you whom I wont get to keep in touch with as I would like.  Please forgive me.  32 months from now (May 2012), I will be back in touch with the world outside of the hospital and school.

I am excited to meet my fellow students, although a little nervous about that, too.  I feel like a little kid on her first day of school--nervous and excited to meet new friends, meet my professors, and dive head first in to this world of being a student again.

I didnt have any recent pictures to post, so I thought I would post some of my favorite photos of the past years.  Enjoy!
