Spring!

Wow. Its been a while. Needless to say, as you can all imagine, life has been pretty hectic. Between school, work, running, etc...blogging unfortunately has come in last on my list. But I have a few minutes today, so here is a quick entry!

It has been a busy time at the Hartman house, but we have managed to sneak in some fun....

Here are just some of my awesome classmates. We took an overnight trip to Wachusett to snowboard. Needless to say, I was sore and I am STILL not very good at it. I cant wait for 2012 (well probably 2013) when I can finally get out and get some practice in. Hopefully I will be able to get a few days in over the next couple years...but my guess is that its pretty unlikely!

Now for warm weather pics...HONDURAS
We went to Roatan for spring break. It was a ton of fun. Besides some serious flight layovers, it was a great time. We made it a scuba dive vacation. It was great. We tripled our number of dives...and included a night dive and a SHARK dive. To check out our shark dives, click here...

The second is the feeding of the sharks! Pretty cool!!! You dont want to miss it.
Here are some pics of beautiful Roatan...

Just relaxing on the beach...
Gotta get one of the two of us
These iguanas were everywhere...and they were HUGE
This guy liked to hang out at our place at night. Maybe it was because someone (no names!) fed him our leftovers every night! :-)
This is Miss Malibu. We ate breakfast with her every morning.
And this little guy didnt have a name, but isnt he cute?
I LOVE plumeria. I wish it grew in Boston...
Beautiful sunset...
The water was an amazing color of blue!
Hope all of you are well. I promise to make more time for this blogging business to keep you all updated...
Lots of love, Jess

Its been a busy January!

Wow, Jan 24! Where has the time gone?! I have been busy. Back in school, working, & training. I did a 10 miler today! Felt great!
We have been busy with visitors & weekend trips. Kristin & Gabe visited & then the following weekend, we went to Colorado to visit Kirk & Janelle. Which brings me to the exciting news: I am gaining a new sister in law as of Aug 28! They are getting married! Yippee! We also have been trying to take advantage of the snow here & got out and did a little snowshoeing. So, so fun!
Hope all is well with all of you. And--GO VIKES! (I still am a Farve Hater though!!!)

Two of our favorite Iowans visited in early Jan! Here they are at the Sam Adams Brewry!
Dinner at Toro would not be the same without perrones!
Kristin loving it! ;-)
All dressed up for a night out!
Cute!

Plane ride leaving CO Springs...was a little nervous! But the flight was just fine!
Monarch Mountain---getting ready to get my butt kicked
Just a pic of my board!

2010 is HERE!

WHOA! Where in the world did the time go?! 2010! Holy crap. I realized today that I had been meaning to do a little blogging since school got out...Dec 14. Now, I am one week away from starting again and havent blogged since Dec 6! So, here is a quick little note to keep you up on our holidays!

This, my friends, are the smiles of surviving the first semester of Anesthesia School! Way to go Class of 2012! We rocked it!

Trying to get a good Christmas card photo!
And again---Mac LOVES to dress up! Cant you tell?!
The beautiful tree!

See, I told ya!

So a little short of Christmas pictures. I didnt get the camera out too much this year. There was a lot of hustle and bustle & working around Christmas, so it kind of slipped my mind. We celebrated Christmas Eve at our place, complete with tons of food, Sash, Brooke, Jonnie, & Pammy. It was a great time. Christmas day was, again, spent stuffing our faces with amazing food, courtesy of Brooke & Sasha. We spent the day/evening at their place--enjoying an amazing fire. As much as I loved the holidays & was surrounded by some of the people I love the most, I did get a little homesick for my family back in MN. Ty & I were lucky enough to be showered in presents, phone calls, & cards---so that really helped.

Now that the holidays are over, the serious diet & exercise program is in effect. I have thought about doing the PX90 system in addition to marathon training. Have you done it? Heard things about it--good or bad? Let me know what you think.
Also, the marathon is 15 weeks away! I know that seems like a long time--but I am starting to freak out a bit! It is coming up very, very, very soon! EEK! Training is looming over my head....as well as fundraising. If anybody would like to donate to either Ty or my charities, please, please visit our websites at
or

Between the two of us, we are obligated to raise over $6600! Our goals are pretty steep, but we are confident in doing it & believe in what we are running for!

I hope that 2010 has started off well for each & everyone of you. I hope that it brings nothing but happiness & love to you and your families! Thats all for now... :-)
