Anesthesia School--here I come!

My life for the next 3 years!  YAY!
Great news everyone!!!  I have been accepted to CRNA school at Northeastern University!  I am sooo happy, excited, relieved, and scared all at the same time.  I interviewed on Saturday morning, and they called me back later that evening to tell me I had been accepted.  The interview went very well, everyone was very supportive and very nice.  I am really looking forward to learning the art of being a crna from such a great group of people.  The program is 32 months long, starting in September.  It will be a pretty intense program, but worth it in the end.  I can hardly believe that 3 years from now, I will almost be a CRNA.  For those of you who arent familiar with the term CRNA, it is certified registered nurse anesthetist.  While is school, I will be learning all about anesthesia and physiology (which I love...I am a nerd, I know).  Once I am done, I will be able to be a part of an anesthesia care team (like in a hospital) or practice independently.  I graduate with a master's in science, which is really exciting.  I cant tell you how happy I am.  And Ty, too.
In addition to my acceptance, Saturday was also Ty's 32nd birthday.  I think he had a great day, even though he was post call.  He was such a help to me in studying and preparing me for my interview, I have to give him so many thanks.  I couldnt have done it without him.  Now he thinks that since I am going back to school...he gets to be a house dad....I think not! :-)
Anyway, hope you are all doing well.

The crowd on a Sunday morning

Happy New Year!  No, I am not  couple months late, happy Chinese New Year!  Ever since Ty and I were in Vietnam a couple years ago for the Chinese New Year, we have tried to celebrate it each year.  This year, being in Boston, we decided to head to Chinatown for the celebration.  It was on Sunday morning, Ty was post call, but we made it.  It was so much fun, there were tons of people.  It was loud, entertaining, good food, and good company.  Not much more you could ask for!  Sorry for such a short blog post, school is getting the best of me.  So much to do...so little time.  Hope you are all doing well!
