Yes, Red Sox vs Yankees!!!
Last weekend we had a visit from one of my favorite people in all of the world, my little bro. Unfortunately, I came down with some sort of flu---not the pig kind, thankfully, so I was a little bit of a loser, but I think Kirk had fun anyway. I know that he and Ty had many late nights....most of which included me yelling from bed, telling them to be quiet! Nonetheless, I think he had a good time. Friday night we were lucky enough to head to Fenway Stadium for the Red Sox vs Yankees game. What a game!!! We knew it was going to be good, just based on the rivalry, but nothing could have prepared us for the fun and excitement of the game. All Kirk wanted to see was Kevin Youkilis get a home run---Red Sox down 4 to 2, bottom of the 9th, runner on 1st---JASON BAY (my second favorite Canadian!) smacks a 2 run homer! Game tied, bottom of 10th, 2 outs--Youk up to plate--SMACK! Gone! It was awesome. We met the best group of people---see above photo! Jay, Mike, and Lindsay---I cannot wait to meet up with you guys again at the reunion game in June!For the rest of the weekend, we did a lot of hiking, eating, and drinking. We also took Kirk kayaking on the Charles on Sunday. It was a beautiful weekend to do so. This sparked a bit of a fire, and as of Wednesday, we are now the owners of another kayak---but this one has room for Mac! Ty is so excited...the two of them have already been out! We are hoping to get out on the river this weekend if the weather cooperates!
