A day filled with love and laughter

Ty and I at the wedding

Jordan, Brooke's nephew, providing the music for the party!
The beautiful brides and Jordan and Allie.

August has been a crazy month for Ty and I.  Ty started sailing lessons, our AC went out during the hottest weeks of the year, and most importantly our two favorite girls got married.
Sasha and Brooke got married this past Saturday at Decordova Museum near Boston.  It was the most beautiful ceremony that I have ever witnessed.  It embodied all of the love that these two have for one another---which is A LOT of love.  I dont know if it was because the day and weeks leading up to the wedding were so busy, but it never occurred to me that I might cry.  Oh, but did I cry.  Almost embarassing.  The girls walked down the aisle together, had their moms give some words from their hearts, the dads presented the rings, and said some of the best vows I have ever heard.  The whole thing was so very personal and perfect.  Following the ceremony, there was a cocktail hour, which ended when Ty gave a speech.  He was so nervous, but he did a great job.  I was so proud of him.  The rest of the night was spent eating, drinking, and dancing.  It was great.  And as an added bonus, we got to see our friends Jen & Amy, who photographed our wedding.  They came all the way from Michigan to photograph the girls as well.  It was a perfect day.  I know that these two have a lifetime of love and laughter awaiting them.  I hope they are having a great time in Bali on their honeymoon.  I must say, though, I am a little jealous! :-)
