Study time...

Not much has happened since my last blog post.  Busy, busy with studying...thought this picture just shows where I have been spending the majority of my time lately.  I am currently taking a couple of grad courses in hopes of getting my masters.  Right now, I am enrolled in a nursing research and a healthcare systems course.  Learning lots, mostly about how to balance working full time and being a college kid again.  It is actually a lot of fun...but  I do feel OLD! :-)  Ty is in lab this month and on call every fourth night.  I think he is liking it a little better than being on service.  As for Mac, he is happy to have his mom and dad home for a while.  With the two trips back to back, he spent a lot of time at the kennel and lost a significant amount of weight.  We are in the process of trying to get the weight put back on him.  He is eating better than Ty and I...his diet consists of ground beef and chicken.  He is putting the weight back on, but he sure is expensive.  He is going through at least 2 lbs of beef a day...and still seems hungry! :-)

Hope all of you are having a great week!

Sorry it has been so long since I have had the chance to catch up on the blog.  We have been so busy with adjusting to 2009 life and getting ready for the big party in LeRoy.  I left for MN last Tues and was not happy when I landed in -22 degree weather! Boy it was C-O-L-D! My mom and I stayed busy planning and decorating and getting ready for the party, while trying to stay warm.  I had tons of fun hanging out with my parents.  Once the weekend came, Kirk & Janelle and Ty finally made it to town.  We spent Friday night out to dinner at one of our favorite places in Rochester with my parents & Danielle & Shan.  We spent the rest of the night at the Break Room, meeting up with our friends and drinking too much...of course.  Saturday was the BIG night.  Fortunately the temperature had warmed up, but unfortunately the wind was blowing and the weather didnt want to cooperate.  Despite the weather, we had a GREAT turn out at the party.  We started off with dinner and surprised our guests (especially our Rochester friends) with a live band...The Chubbs!  It was PRICELESS to see their faces when they realized that we had booked the band that we always enjoyed seeing together.  We spent the night singing, dancing, drinking, and laughing the night away.  It truly was another amazing night, and we were so lucky have had so many people there to celebrate us and our wedding.  The next day, however, I dont think anyone was happy that we threw the party that we did.  EVERYONE we talked to was in rough shape.  But, that means the party was a success!

Happy 2009!

Pammy, Ty, & I on the beach bringing in 2009!
Take the f***ing horns away from these two!!!
HAPPY 2009!

Happy New Year!  I cant believe that 2009 has come already.  2008 brought so many great things to Ty and I.  I can only hope that 2008 was as good to all of you as it was to us.  I hope that 2009 brings nothing less than the best to us and to all the people we love so dearly!  We have so much to look forward to this year...the first being a trip to MN to see all of my family & friends for a BIG party to celebrate our wedding. I cannot wait to see everyone...I miss MN and my family and friends so much!  We have a couple big weddings this year.  Sasha and Brooke are getting married in August.  I cannot wait to share in their special day.  It is going to be amazing.  They are getting married at a great venue just outside of Boston.  Ty and I have been lucky enough to have been including in one of our favorite parts...the tastings! :-)  Also, our friends from MN, Steph & Pat, are getting hitched in July!  It should be so much fun, and I am lucky enough to be part of the bridal party!  Also coming up this year...my 10 year class reunion.  Yes, count the the years...10!!  I am in the process of helping to plan the big party...I can't wait to see all my classmates.  I am sure

Ty and I spent the end of 2008 and beginning of 2009 in the Dominican Republic with Pammy and the girls.  It was the MOST relaxing time I have ever had.  We really did nothing except lay on the beach....oh, and not to forget the massages and pedicures.  Yes, it was a rough, rough week! There isnt much to tell from our trip because it was so relaxing.  At some point during the week, most of us came down with some sort of ailment, but we got through it.

Mon, Jan 5, marked an important day for Ty, Sasha, Brooke, and I.  Biggest Loser.  We have started a contest to see who can lose the most percent of weight.  Contest ends in March.  Losing some weight and getting in shape is just one of my many resolutions.  Also on Monday, I started a couple classes at Northeastern towards getting my master's degree.  I think I may have signed up for more than I bargained for, but hopefully I will make it through...

As said before, I hope 2009 brings nothing but the best for all of you!  Lots of love...
