Cheers!

This weekend was a big one for Ty & I.  We celebrated his birthday (yep, his birthday is in February, but this was our first free weekend) by taking a trip to Montreal.  We headed to Burlington, VT on Friday.  Beautiful place.  Ty and I can really see ourselves living there someday...so who knows!  We spent Friday afternoon through Saturday there, and then it was one to Montreal.  Montreal was great.  We had a great hotel, great dinner, etc.  It was so nice to get away and have a weekend for just the two of us.  We decided to come home on Sunday, so that we could be in town for the Boston Marathon.  So, So glad that we did.  Brooke and Sasha invited us to a roofdeck party at the Lenox, which is a hotel in Boston.  The best part...the roof deck looked over the finish line.  As you might expect, there was thousands of people in Boston for the marathon, so getting to see it, nonetheless the finish line is almost impossible.  But having the chance to see it from the top was amazing.  We saw the women and men winners cross the finish line! Wow! Completely exhilirating.

We also had a friend who ran and finished, despite an awful injury!  WAY TO GO ASHLEY!!!!  I am completely in awe of your determination!

Other topics of interest....I am done with this semester! YAY!  Still awaiting my grades, though...so I still feel a bit on edge.  Next semester...starts on May 4, so it is nice to have a couple weeks off.  Ty is still busy at work, but year 2 is almost over.  He is working on a job search.  Mac spent the weekend at his favorite cousin's house and is completely exhausted!  He and Rocco have such a great time together.  Coming up:  Kirk visits this weekend! Cannot wait to see him.  After that, we have our 1/2 marathon on May 3, and then my cousin Brady is here for a visit the following week! So excited to have visitors.

Also, congrats to our friends Kristin and Gabe on the sale of their house! I can only imagine that it is a huge weight off their shoulders!! Congrats, guys!!!

Mac Turns 2!

His birthday meal...what else, but a HUGE steak!
He loves ducks
and swimming
and his mom
And his dad!
Hard to believe Mr. Mac has turned 2!  The time flies by.  His birthday was this past Thursday, and luckily for him, Ty and I were both off that day.  The weather was absolutely amazing, so we decided to take him for a LLLOONNGGG hike.  We started on a path that we had never done before, and it was pretty tough.  Very tough incline, but when we reached the top, it was well worth it.  It was such a great day, and spring is bringing such beautiful scenery, so we continued on our hike for a little over 3 hours.  Mac had the pleasure of ending his birthday with what else, but a HUGE steak.  Ty grilled it up for him and everything....he is one spoiled dog.

It's April!

Bloody Mary Bar!!!
Wow, I have been BAD at blogging! It has been a month.  March was a busy month for us.  It was the end of the biggest loser contest that we had going with Brooke & Sasha.  There was quite a few pounds shed.  Ty ended up winning it with 13 pounds (I think).  As for me, I actually gained weight! Only a 1/2 pound, but nonetheless, not the right direction.  We ended the contest with our annual bloody mary bar Saturday.  It was messy, but a lot of fun.  The girls and our friend Ryan came over, and we had a blast.

In other VERY exciting news, we finally got rid of the crappy 2 in 1 washer/dryer combo, and got new top of the line seperate washer and dryer.  I am so happy.  I can actually go a few days in between loads and not get behind.  It is so nice, and I am sooo happy that Ty agreed to this venture.  Life is much better!
Mimosas on Sunday Morning
We also were invited to the Cape the last weekend in March.  Our friends Kate & Nick have a house in Osterville, MA, and invited us down for the weekend.  It was so much fun.  Even though it was rainy and overcast, it was beautiful.  The house overlooks the water, and the entire area is really spectacular.  We cooked dinner together--fish tacos, which were AMAZING.  Then we settled in for a night of games and fun.
Ping Pong winners! Kate & Ryan!

Mac & his new girlfriend, Stevie
Kate & Nick recently got a new dog, Stevie.  She is absolutely beautiful and so sweet.  Her and Mac really have a lot of fun together.  It is unreal how much energy the two of them have!

Mararitas, baby!
